Ready to drive.

I enjoyed this book. I picked it up for a coming trip. I have been in that region several times, but I have been making notes of new things to do and see. I am re-energized to see the red rocks of Utah.

Great for motorcyle touring

We just returned from a wonderful motorcycle tour of southern Utah and this book and a map were the only guides we had in the saddlebags. We used Trip Advisor to help decide on lodging options and used this book to explore unusual gravel roads and side trips off the highway. One example, Valley of the Gods, is a side trip we never would have taken but on the advice of the book, we did. It was well worth it. Also loved Rte 12, described as the most scenic road in Utah in this book. It is! Worth every penny. Would have liked to have more mileage info but that's what we had the map for.

I would pass on it

I bought it based on reviews; had it with me in Utah; and did not find it useful. It may work for someone planning to ONLY drive around Utah with a lot of time. But if you kind of know where you are going, there are large distances between places and either you will drive by something cool or not.

Great Recap of Scenic Highways

Book covers scenic drives in entire state of Utah. Covers in detail all the areas we plan to see. We'll have to keep it open to be sure we don't miss anything.

Fantastic book! a must have if you are going to Utah

I took this book to a trip around Utah (Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands and Monument Valley) and I must say that without the book the trip wouldn't have been the same! There are a lot of side trips and places described in it - including the history of each route, comments and anecdotes - that does not apper in any of the two Utah guides that I had with me. Also, a lot of great detours and even view points that otherwise I would have missed. Definitely a must have!
